I admire you for taking on this difficult challenge. [Aside: I came across "Awkward" by chance, but your acting soon made it unmissable.]

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." -Ghandi That is one of my favorite quotes that I live by everyday. It motivated me to stay strong and make a change whenever I needed to. Let's all live by this. Yesterday I jumped head first into the Live Below The Line Challenge. It wasn't easy, at all. I had an apple and some rice in addition to water. I'm not even sure if most of the 1.4 billion people myself and others are doing this for have access to clean water. Over all I felt tired, hungry and a little dizzy. I can't imagine everyday, in and out, feeling that way. Today I start again. For breakfest I had water with half an apple. I'll keep trucking along knowing how easy I have it in comparison to 1.4 billion people around the world. After all, I'm doing this of my own choosing, for a cause larger than myself. The people I am raising awareness and funds for have no choice. This is their life. In fact, this is a fraction of their everyday life. For I am only using the $1.50 for food. They must use it to cover not only food, but a place to live, transportation and healthcare. I simply can't imagine it. Hopefully this will give me a little idea of just how hard their life is and inspire others to take action and make a difference. Best of luck to all those helping and joining. And my prayers to the 1.4 billion people who live this life everyday. It is my promise to you that I will, with the help of the world, make this a better place for all of us to live in.

Here it is. Day one of the Live Below The Line Challenge. It's a hard road ahead. But it's an even harder road for the 1.4 billion people who live through this EVERY DAY. Today I will eat on less than $1.50 per day. Now that's just my food budget. Keep in mind the people we are trying to help have to use that $1.50 for everything, food, transportation, a place to live, and healthcare. As I start this challenge, as tough as it will be, I will never forget how lucky I am to have what I have and I will make it my duty, as I hope you will in turn make it yours, to help this world we live in become a better place for everyone.
